Hello... I know, it's been a while. Almost over a month? I'm sorry. I've been super busy with uni work.. I still am, right up until the Christmas Break! But I'm gonna try and fit the ole blog in again, I kinda miss stressing over what to write about...

So. Me and my housemates were sat around after Halloween on November the 1st came to the terrible decision to do Sober November, for various reasons. To generally be healthier people, lose weight, save some money and just prove to everyone that we can do it. (Ok, so I had a drink on day 3, but wasn't drunk so we're not counting it). Basically I never realised how hard this would be. Which sounds awful, I wouldn't say I'm an alcoholic, but then I do go out on the lash at least once a week. But I'm a Uni student, cut me some slack! Doing this is probably one of the hardest things I've ever done, uni is pretty stressful at the moment and I haven't really had chance to let my hair down, saying that I wouldn't say I need alcohol to have fun as I've still been going out, once or twice a week and having fun, also looking after those who are.. Less sober. But then I also think, this is probably the longest I have gone with out a drink in 2/3 maybe longer years. Going back to when I said I wasn't an alcoholic, the last sentence doesn't mean I got lashed every day, but it was just a casual drink. Just one. It's crazy.

Around the 18th/19th day the drinking ban really hit us in our house, we had all been so stressed through not drinking (bare in mind we are students). Tension was so high we hated each other. We were at each other's throats, blaming each other and just snappy in general. It was unhealthy. We did end up speaking it out and having a laugh about it.

I also never realised how bad people are when they're drunk. People become rise, and loud and embarrassing. Watching this made me consider ever drinking again. Genuinely. But I also noticed how I was so different around drunk people. I apologise, I'm so polite, yet I never get the same treatment back. Oh, and the embarrassment of ordering water at the bar. Yeah that. Some exciting things have come out of Sober November. My friend accidentally knocking someone out, many pointless drunkeb arguments taking place, and realising I don't only fall down stairs when I'm drunk, but I am indeed a clumsy madem and I mustn't blame alcohol for this clumsiness.

Any who, here was are on day 23, still (kinda) going strong. We've made it through many nights out with the help of red bull and pro-plus. However we will be extremely happy when this next week is over! But I will definitely be considering doing it again! Very strange experience!

Beth's X Factor Blog: Week 2.

*Sigh* As if I've dedicated 10 weeks to writing this blog. But I've started now so I might aswell finish, you don't want to be a half a job harry now do you? So yea, if you couldn't tell from last weeks blog, I am by far X Factors biggest fan, but because of the return of the princess that is Cheryl Fernandez-Versini I feel inclined to do so. Anyway, I was extremely happy with the acts who left last week, Overload Generation & Blonde Electra, two of the worst - out of many bad ones -kick them all of early to leave the "talent", right? I was happy with this, until I discovered that Overload Generation would be performing at our local club at uni, meaning that the price of entry would go up £2 and I'd have to endure these little shits for 20 minutes or so. Unimpressed and unacceptable.

Basically, it was (or supposed to have been) an '80s week' theme, I, for one am a big fan of the 80s, cheesy music, leg warmers, bright lights, everyone's happy, glorious, right. Yeah, no. Obviously X Factor *cough* Simon Cowell *cough* had to suck all the fun out of it didn't they? To put it bluntly, it was very lifeless, I just don't understand how you can take 14 songs and just rip the life out of them, disgraceful.

So, Dermot came on and did his little spin thing, and the judges came out all looking glamorous, yes Cheryl, that is aimed at you. Before the dozens of adverts bombarded our television screen, we got to see an act. That Jack fella, as you're all aware, failed to impress me last week, and once again he did again, so flat, so dull, so boring, this was then followed by Steph, who I have to try to be nice about because I got her in my sweepstake (amazing, I know), gave us a slowed down version of Blondie's - Call Me, which I found to be extremely boring, I accepted this as cute as she is, you can't really expect anything less, can you? She's not really that good... NEXT WE HAD ANDREA WHO OF COURSE WAS FABULOUS. What is even the point in continuing when he is so obviously going to walk this show because he probably shits in harmony. Lauren is also good, I wasn't overly happy about the slowing down of the song - by this point I was pretty much falling asleep. When I read 80s I want fast paced songs, I want dancing, I want fun. This week disappointed me, the worst choice of songs. Ferne had a boring song choice, she can sing, yeah, but she's still not overly impressing me. Chloe Jasmine was dissed by the judges for changing her sound from the jazzy style she has, I didn't even notice that she changed her sound, but apparently she did so she was slated, however if she'd sang in the normal way she does then she would have been slated for keeping it all the same... I'm just saying. I should probably say something about how that boyband and Jake were bloody awful and please please someone vote them off. Oh I also forgot to mention Lola, yep, boring, boring, boring... Ben Haenow impressed, because he's good (even though the song he was singing was from the 70s and not 80s.. not to be picky, but don't pick a theme if you can't stick to it). Paul was another one who basically got forgotten about.. not for me. I was so bored, I even gave Stevi a bit of credit for only because I liked the song he chose and it was a bit up-beat and actually had a beat. Only The Young were on point, but lets be honest, you can't really go wrong with a bit of Come On Eileen can you? Anyway the show ended with Jay giving us a truly terrible rendition of The Proclaimers. This week was all about the judges getting one over on each other, Simon being bitchy to Cheryl and Mel B, Cheryl being bitchy to Mel B and vice versa. Proving that the show isn't actually about the so-called talent but indeed the judges themselves, it's just immature, pathetic.

Basically this week was the worst 2 and a half hours of my life. 80s music is supposed to be cheesy, I don't understand why they tried to make it to fit the modern day, when it clearly isn't modern. You know it's bad when the worst act in the competition can get it right and everyone else can't. I don't really understand what they were trying to get at... It's made me not want to watch it anymore just because it infuriates me.

Jake is still in the competition and I hope he did enough tonight to get himself voted out.. I'd also like to see the back of the boyband army and Stevi. Anyway, join me again next week, where hopefully Jake is no more.

Beth's guide to.... University.

So...As you may or may not know (I'm gonna tell you anyway) last year I packed up half my life and moved two hours away where I'd start my life at The University of Worcester. Now I must admit, despite talking about it in a few of my other blogs, I felt absolutely no anxiety, which for me was a huge deal. I think I was just sick of the village I live in and the people there, I was in a place where there wasn't really anything left for me anymore, except for about 3 friends, so it was time for me to get myself out of there.

The first thing you need to know about is living independently. Sounds fun right? It is. Trust me once you get in the swing of thing you sometimes won't even remember what a family is! Though living "independently" obviously comes with some responsibility. Like not blowing your entire student loan on alcohol.... who did that? You should probably budget your money... or at least attempt to. You also have to do things like, washing up, now believe me when I say the most tension that will ever be felt, and arguments that will occur in student accommodation will be over the washing up. You'll get the people who will "do it tomorrow" and then come back a week later and there is mold growing over it, and then you wash it up due to the disgustingness and then you will be taken advantage of and become the designated washer-upper for the whole flat, and their friends. (This became me, sorry for just being clean). And then, the notes will appear, you will enjoy reading the "Please wash up, it makes me sad" as much as the person enjoys writing them. fact. It's probably best that you learn how to use a washing machine aswell, even though they'll cost a ridiculous amount of money, resulting in you using your sink & washing up tablets to wash your undies..... I wasn't the only one. And finally. You need to learn how to cook. Take a cook book, please. Supernoodles are bad. Before I left for uni I visioned myself living on supernoodles, let me tell you now, there is only so much you can take. -Also, they're very fattening and aren't good for you-. Eat good, please. However, with all these things to consider, living away from home is a glorious experience, you can stay out, you can make your room as messy as you want, you can eat what you want, you are free, embrace it! ALSO EXPECT TO PUT ON WEIGHT. - I put on two stone in my first year, remember, just because you eat good doesn't mean alcohol isn't the most fattening thing in the world!

Now, obviously, some people can feel some emotions whilst starting uni.. (not me though, definitely outgrew my hometown and it was time for me to go) this is perfectly normal, I personally think that parents find it more emotional to leave their children than the other way around, but yes, leaving your family for the first time is obviously daunting, the worst way to deal with this is to lock yourself away. Dry your eyes mate and get out there meeting people. This is your chance to be whoever you want to be, nothing is stopping you, none of these people know you, and as the old saying is first impressions are everything, these are the people you're going to be living with for a year whether you like it or not, you're going to want them to like you! I kinda threw myself in there, as I've mentioned before I'm quite a shy person and it takes a while for me to come out of my shell, well, when I started uni, there was never a shell I was in. It was amazing. I was extremely lucky in the sense that the block I was in was rather small and we all clicked really well immediately, I guess you could say they've become my uni family. We're pretty much a massive family, I've accepted the fact I'm stuck with these people as friends, for life. We are all a force to be reckoned with, it's amazing.

Obviously, don't forget that you are there to learn, and you will be pestered by your friends if you skip your lectures, trust me. As much fun as it is, remember that you've an opportunity that many others don't have and you're extremely lucky to be furthering your education.

Yes, anyway, university life is fabulous, you also get so much time to yourself, I used this time to discover new bands, and increase my musical knowledge (with a little help from my brother sending me new bands, I had no radio signal where I lived and surviving without a radio was hell). It's also a good place to find yourself and have fun! I had the best first year of my life, and I'm sure you will too!

I went to Reading Festival!

Oh haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. It's been a while, long time no speaks & all that.

So. Whilst you were all expecting a blog on Sunday I was far too busy being else where. Like Reading Festival having me faar too much fun. So it'd only be right to write yous a diary-type blogpost in which I've decided I'm actually alright at doing. So here goes.

Thursday: So, after waking up at a good 5am. Managing to put up a pop up tent alone (I'm not your average camper) I managed to get extremely drunk and pass out at around 2/3pm in the afternoon guess you could say all was swell. I don't want to make any excuses for my disgusting behavior, however, I was feeling extremely anxious and shy on the lead up to the festival, a feeling which I haven't felt in many many years and I just wanted to curl up amd cry to myself & apparently this was my only way to deal with it & buck up a bit of confidence, but clearly it went the wrong way.. but hey, I'm young it's ok to make a massive prick out of myself.... which is exactly what I did, following on from the first night last year.... embarrassing.

Friday: Basically the anxiety of mine didn't wear off until Sunday, which was actually really sad for me because everyone who we were with were super nice and I just wanted to be social and have fun. But hey-ho, so I stuck to the one person who made me feel, lets say, comfortable. My big brother. The first act we saw was Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance do his new solo stuff, which I thoroughly enjoyed, he seemed like a very nice man, and I'm a sucker for nice people, I also quite liked MCR so, everyone's a winner. We then saw Twin Atlantic who I've decided are one of my new favourite bands, because they were absolutely freeeeeekin' awesome. Wowzers, definitely have to be seeing them again. We then saw Temples(?) - This is me being confused, so I can't remember if I thought much to them or not. (I spent a bit of the weekend seeing the people who my brother wanted too, being a decent sister that I am) We then saw Vampire Weekend, who I really liked them, partly because I know some of their songs and who doesn't love a good sing-a-long? - After this we the stayed through Paramore, who's sound kept cutting out on, this made me extremely happy because I don't like them although they did pull someone on stage which I like because it's nice. We then saw Queens of the Stone Age. Well. I don't actually know much about this band.. I knew about one song. Turns out every other person did... So I awkwardly banged my head along with my music, they were actually alright, I liked them. We then drew the night to a close with the silent disco. Which I enjoyed because I love a good shout around where no-one can really yell at me for shouting, all good fun.

Saturday: There was sosososososo many people who I wanted to see on Saturday, like sososos many. Yea Saturday was a busaaay day for moi. I first saw Milky Chance, in who I dragged my brother to the dance stage to see, if anyone knows my brother you'll know that I pretty made the impossible happen. - He wasn't best pleased, but he's a bit protective & won't leave me alone in these places. So I'd heard Milky Chance on the radio, thought I'd give them a... chance. ba-dum tish. Not my average choice of listen, but 'eck I enjoyed them. Then we saw American Authors (Who I thought were Imagine Dragons for so long, until I was corrected, this is what happens when you move to the land of no-signal) I liked them, they reminded me a bit of Kodaline & The Lumineers, some sort of easy listening band, so there's an album I'll be investing in. We then went to catch the end of Royal Blood - this I feel a bit bad about - when we walked past the introducing stage to see some lad playing a surprise set.. had a little nose around, like "whoooos this then" I then - and I do feel bad about this - stopped my brother and his friend like WOAAAAAAH IT'S JAKE BUGG. - I love Jake Bugg. He is my favourite ever ever ever & to see him twice in one day was just fabulous, I could've gone home on the end of that day being extremely happy. We pretty much spent the rest of the day at the Main Stage, we saw Peace & The Hives, who I didn't really think much to, to be completely honest. My brother wanted to see Foster The People, who, I actually quite like, just easy listening isn't it? All good fun, and we had THE WORST guy behind us all the way through, who - when we left at the end had the cheek to say "You actually wanted to watch Foster The People?!".. Like why would you stand through someones set, slagging it off? What are you, some sort of pillock? Why stand through someone you don't want to see? eurgh, infuriating! I then forced my brother against his will to see Imagine Dragons, he hates them. Made us stand a wee bit back 'cause the crowd were a bit young and annoying.. managed to force my way forward slowly though ;) I thought they were fabulous live! I missed them last year, and I regretted it bad, so I'm happy I managed to fill my regret to see them this year. THEN IT WAS TIME FOR JAKE BUGG AND HE WAS THE BEST THING EVER AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST THING EVER. I LOVE JAKE BUGG. - As you can tell, I liked Jake Bugg. Alot. Twice in one day, buy one get one free. ding ding ding, absolute winner. And then it was time to Arctic Monkeys... anyone who lived in my flat knows I played the AM album to within an inch of it's life. Absolutely killed it. You could say I was a bit obsessed... yes, yes I was. Now, my brothers not much one for crowds, infact he even said before Jake Bugg that he wanted to move back. "We can go forward for Jake Bugg, but I want to move back for Arctic Monkeys" Obviously this isn't me and demanded to go forward, and like the spoilt little shit I AM (See what i did there ;) ) I got my way. Then after a massive speech about how we'll meet at a specific place because we're going to definitely 100% get split up, I was certain I was going to lose some teeth during the set. Turns out it actually wasn't bad at all. I ended up shouting along to every song and they were probably my favourite of the entire weekend. Definitely. (And also Alex Turner is the sexiest man alive & I'd be happy to mother his children)

Sunday: I awoke on Sunday feeling like a fresh woman! My anxiety had died down quite alot, and for the first time I actually sat with people - who weren't my brother - and spoke. Obviously I had some help from my friend, wine. I then rushed off (probably very rudely) to catch the end of Papa Roach, who I decided I needed to see because they used to be the song on my 'Piczo' (anyone remember this, it was like Facebook for 2004?!) So it's what my 12 year old self would have wanted! I then went on a man hunt for my brother, on my way I saw some of "Schoolboy Q" who I thought was pretty fucking shit. I THEN saw the Cocktail Bar where I spent alot of time and money before eventually finding my brother who took me to see some band. I can't remember if I liked them or not.. THEN WE SAW THE KOOKS WHO I LIKE BECAUSE THEY'RE VERY GOOD. We then saw another band where I went back to the cocktail bar for more cocktailiness. So, I don't remember them, I then dragged my brother against his will to see The 1975, who I like because they seem like nice people, and I'm a proper sucker for nice things so I thoroughly enjoyed that. We then watched another band, the cocktails had kicked in by now so I can't even tell you who they are... I was then dropped off with my brothers friends, who were super nice to watch Blink 182 who were fricckkkkin' awesome. Glorious end to a glorious weekend.

So, that's that then. Reading Festival has once again marked the end of my summer. Despite passing out and suffering a 2 day hangover I really enjoyed just hanging out with my brother who I don't really see anymore due to uni and seeing some really amazing bands. I'm sure I'll be making an appearance next year, though I do fancy Glastonbury, I'm sure I'll be ending my summer 2015 to the festivities of Reading Festival.

The worst week of my life.

Before I start this post, which will probably turn out to be the biggest rant of my life. I'd like to pay my respects to one of the greatest actors and comedians of all time, Mr. Robin Williams. He bought me so much happiness in his films when I was younger, Hook was always an annual watch in my house and Mrs. Doubtfire was always on every week we visited our grandparents house. When I went to college and was told that Comedy was my forte I was told to study Williams and his work, this to me didn't feel like I was studying at all, I probably wouldn't be the actor I am today or in the position where I'm getting a degree in acting if it wasn't for actors such as Robin Williams. RIP to one of the most wonderful and talented actors there will ever be, I'll be happy if I'm an inch of an actor that Robin Williams was.

DIY pink hair!

This week my parents went on holiday, this is always fun right? Wrong. Normally it's really fun for me because I get to watch all my box sets on the sky box that I normally miss due to everyone being home and having their own shows, since I'm so generous I miss my own programs for them to watch theirs, nice, right? But not this week. Oh lord, god help me if I even entered the family living room this week. I'm not really being clear am I? Well, this year when my parents left us for a week whilst they hit the coast in Cornwall, they left us a gift, my younger brother. Basically, my younger brother has always gone on holiday until this year, where he stayed at home with us, for me this wasn't and issue for me. It wasn't an issue until I returned home from work the day my parents had departed to find the entire contents of my brothers side of the room (he shares a room) in the living room, his telly, his xbox, his desk, his chair - all being powered by MY extension lead, may I add. I was livid. BUT it gets worse. Apparently he was told he was allowed to move his stuff & sleep in there, how dare my parents do this to me like, I thought we were friends. Shocked my parents had betrayed me like this I did what any other person would do in my position and hit the town to drown my sorrows, which completely backfired on me as it was one of the worst nights out of my life, resulting in me going home at half 1.

So Sunday was a bit better, I was stuck in the kitchen after work, still couldn't enter the family living room due to the fact he still hadn't moved his stuff out, as requested by myself. I confided in my elder brother who didn't have a problem with the furniture change-up as it meant he'd get a better nights sleep, without a 17 year old shouting down an xbox headset about a foot away from him until 5am. Which was fair enough, so, I did what anyone else who'd been at work all day and was extremely tired would do. Very childish, very immature, do I care? No. I put on my musicals, in the kitchen, this is, remember I have no access to the family living room, and sang at the top of my lungs until about midnight, which was when I decided it was time for bed. I hoped that my singing had somewhat annoyed him a wee bit.

Monday was a bit better of a day, had a good day at work, popped into town for a bit after, bought some ombre dye - this was a really exciting day for me, I don't tend to do things outside of work so a trip to Superdrug was really thrilling. It was all fun and games, until I returned to find an extra pair of shoes in out kitchen. "No, no, no, no, no" I thought to myself this only meant one thing, he has a friend round. Oh hell no. This put me an even worse mood as any chance of my entering the family living room had been crushed. I'd also noticed he'd not washed up his pan from the night before, which was sitting dirty on the draining board, it'd been dipped in the water but not washed properly, when I questioned him about this I was told "I didn't use it" - This is a phrase we need to remember because it's used many times later in this weekly story. He clearly did use it, because I saw him using it, what more proof do I need? On the upside of this day, I did ombre my hair, all by myself and it turned out exactly how I planned it! Very happy I didn't have to shave off my hair. Again, I sang my heart out to many musical tracks, which resulted in a door being slammed, which meant I was finally getting to him. Until disaster struck. I looked into the fridge and saw MY prawns gone. GONE. - Here's something else you need to know, my mother bought me different foods as I don't eat pizza or want to spend my week eating pasta. I've just lost weight, I'm not going to pile it back on in a week. Now it was so extremely obvious he'd eaten my prawns as he was the only one who'd been home. Though when I questioned him about it, the reply I got was "I didn't eat them, it wasn't me" - BEFORE LATER CONFESSING. I was absolutely raging, how dare he!!!

I awoke for work on Tuesday morning. To my HORROR I found 2 remaining gingerbread men. Right, So. When my parents go away, my mum gets really cute, buying us lots of treats, always gets us gingerbread men. This year she bought three packs, two each. So when I realised another had been eaten I knew immediately exactly who it was, obviously my elder brother wasn't going to have time to eat one in the morning, but - like a good detective, I didn't point fingers straight away, I text my older brother to ask if it was him, obviously the answer was no, so when I got home I questioned him about it.. and guess the reply I recieved... yep, you guessed it "I didn't eat the gingerbread man, it wasn't me." WELL, EXCUUUUUSE ME! I'm insulted that he thinks I'm that unintelligent. But then the worst thing of all time happened, I went in the garage to find something, don't ask me why it's irrelevant. To look into the bottom of our old freezer to find two empty bottles of my koppaburg. Now, I was quite calm on the others. Eat my food, take over the family living room, move your friend in for a few nights without asking, but don't you dare take my alcohol, which was bought for me as a gift. THAT is one step too fucking far. £5 for the person who guesses the answer I got? YEAH YOU GUESSED IT. I was actually pretty pissed off that he'd done this, it wasn't just the fact that it was my alcohol, without sounding like an acoholic. But it was the fact it was a gift for me which was bought by someone else. I then demanded that I watch the Jimanji in the family living room. To which I was told "You can only watch it for an hour because me and my friend are watching Geordie Shore at 10" I don't fucking think so mate. I made myself my tea and entered the family living room, to the worst smell, dirty plates, mugs and empty dominos boxes. I sat on a chair where I was able to see the smallest fraction of the television. Half an hour into the film they left to pick up their kebabs, to which I took over the sofa. They then both proceeded to tap on the windows on the way back, now I live in a very secluded house, there is no other houses around us, pretty much like a horror film, so I'm guessing their intention was to scare me, obviously I have half a brain and knew it was them, I then shouted out the window that if it continued I would lock the door, to which it did and I locked the door. Two minutes they then climbed through a window to get into the house. Both sat down, continued playing xbox through my film, meaning I couldn't hear it. This was very inconsiderate and made me very angry and I considered going back to Worcester and living in my uni house because I couldn't take it anymore.

Wednesday was an easy flowing day as I had a day off of work, so I spent the morning in town buying essentials for Reading Festival this coming Thursday I walked around thinking of excuses not to return home, obviously, I had to return home. When I did so I washed up everything that needed doing so including his pan which I'd left on the side from the Sunday. I also spent the rest of the day removing the empty pizza boxes which were left on the side - again, can I mention, not mine.

Thursday was spent locked in my room in the morning and work in the afternoon. I then came home to find my younger brother had eaten the marshmallows, but that's fine I'd completely lost any sense of feeling and wanted my parents home ASAP so I could start enjoying my life again.

I spent Friday tidying everyone elses mess in the kitchen, without anyone saying please or thankyou, which is completely fine. I wiped down the sides, swept and hoovered the floor, washed up everything that was used by myself, mostly by others. I then spent Saturday wiping down the sides again and wiping up all the washing up my brother had used over the past 7 days, which is completely fine as I didn't get a thankyou from anyone and no-one showed any sign of gratitude - not even my parents who actually came home and had a go at me for "stirring" the situation, which is fine because they were definitely here all week and saw how poorly I was treated, being called a "c*nt" many many times.

That concludes my blog for this week. Fair to say I am very very looking forward to returning to uni in 4 weeks time.

Ok. So I know what you're thinking.. A blog? On Friday?! Beth, have you lost it? No, actually I haven't, though I doubt that would surprise a lot of you.. Anywho, yes, this is a rare Friday blog as I'm working both today & Saturday and will not have time to put one out on Sunday because I'll be travelling to Disneyland at 6am and there is just not enough time to write one through the excitement! So anyway, here's a little update on my life of this week...

I started going on walks this week, which is making me feel a lot better about myself, I feel more healthy in myself, I also discovered places in my village I'd never seen before, can you believe it? I've lived here for 20 years and I don't even know they exsisted! Madness! I think once I come back from Disney I'll start walking everyday as it's something I've become a bit obsessed with, and it's such an easy way to tone your legs, which are my main problem area.

I lost another 2 pound this week! Woohoo! I've figured I've stopped losing as much as I'm toning majorly and obviously muscle weighs more than fat, so I'm extremely happy with my progress! I've lost a total of 1st and 5lbs so far and I'm only about 7/8 lbs away from my goal weight, this was the week I've seen a massive difference in my body and slowly but surely I'm getting my abs back, hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll manage to hit my goal weight!

This week I finally got paid, so I took a shopping trip to treat myself and to pick up euros for my Disneyland adventure. I bought a pair of high waisted shorts, which might I add we're an absolute pain in the arse to find! I LOVE high waisted shorts, especially now my waist has shrunk, I find them extremely flattering to my body shape. But I was so disappointed in the lack of them flying around, I went EVERYWHERE, I normally stick to Primark as they usually have really nice ones, but not this year! TopShop had some for £40, well out of my price range, no thankyou, in the end I settled with some from New Look for half the price & was relieved more than anything to find some. So, whoever makes high waisted shorts needs a big slap on the wrists!

Also, we're having a flea problem in our house at the moment. Our cats are very wild and pick up all sorts due to where we live, so even though they're now flea free our house is not & we are being bitten to the death, please can someone help us!? We have literally tried EVERYTHING!

I am aware this blog was extremely sucky and bad, but I do work and lead a very very boring life at the moment, I have some really exciting things coming up over the next couple of weeks and when I go back to Uni my life will become exciting once again and there will be much more I can share with you guys and much more fun things I'll be doing, so please stay with me, it will get better, I promise!!

Festival survival guide:

Festival season is upon us! Exciting stuff! And you want to be prepared before you go right?! I went to Reading Festival last year, my first festival,and was only really prepared because I went with my brother & he's been loads, if I hadn't gone with him I'd have been screwed! Now I'm not your average camper, if I camp it's for one night only and with people who are weaker than me so I'm not the one who would potentially get killed first, giving me time to escape. So the thought of spending longer in the 'wilderness' gives me major anxiety, but hey, I trooped though & survived & it can't have been that bad as I'm going back this year.

If like me you don't want to die, here is your essential festival survival guide.

TENT: Lord Jesus, take a tent, because the odds are you won't (actually you probably will) find a lovely guy or girl to take you in for the weekend, c'mon now, you need one. And a decent one that ideally doesn't leak. last year I used a friends and let me tell ya'll, waking up in a puddle is.. ok, it's a free bath, let's be positive, but no it's not fun, and you won't have any dry socks to wear, that will piss you off.

FOOD: You will need to eat, food at festivals tend to be quite expensive so it's probably best to take your own, you won't need to take meals and stuff, ain't nobody got time to cook! Just snacks! Unless you're like me who somehow managed to survive the weekend on one hotdog, not even the bun, just the hotdog. I don't know why I didn't eat, I just don't think I was hungry, I don't know it's just something I didn't do. I would strongly not advise this as it's a silly thing to do and I don't want to be held responsible for multiple pass outs or deaths. So eat!

DRINK: Water, drink it, it's good for you. Alcohol. Now you'll be drinking A LOT of this stuff, so it should definitely be a priority on your list. Drink until your happy, it's fun! But don't be the girl, or guy who's drank it all too quickly and has to be put to bed. You will feel like a complete prat. That's right folks, I was that prat, and I can tell you now, it's embarrassing and you will wake up in the morning in your own sick and you will feel like shit for the rest of the morning, and you don't want to miss your favourite act because your too hungover do you? For the love of God pace yourself & please don't get too drink too quickly.

HYGEINE: They do have showers at these things, but if like me you're too lazy to find them then you'll have to make do with a wet wipe wash. Girls, no matter how glamorous the magazines make it, wet wipes, dry shampoo and deodorant will be your new best friends, and even then you will smell and it will be bad, but you won't notice because everyone's in the same boat, deal with it.

CLOTHES: It's probably best to check the weather on this one, but don't pack your whole wardrobe. I was proper trampy and wore some of the clothes for a few days - I have no shame. Probably best to wear wellies, you always think of wellies when you hear the word festival, should probably avoid jeans incase it rains as they're a bugger to dry. I'd advise shorts and t-shirts, a hoody for the evening and if the weathers nice then some canvas shoes and ding ding ding we've a winner!

GO WITH PEOPLE YOU LIKE: Ok, I'm not gonna lie, this year I'm a bit of a tag-a-long. I'm tagging along with my brother and his friends again, but I'm sure after a few drinks I'll be ok (bit shy sober y'see) But you don't want to be going with people who you don't particually know or don't get along with, this will only make it awkward for you.

DON'T TAKE VALUABLES: Thefts do happen at festivals and you're not gonna want to be the person who gets their new iPhone 5s stolen are you? Plus, the battery will die on the first day, last year we used old phones to contact each other & it's super cheap & the battery lasts all weekend AND it's got really annoying text tones so you can piss everyone off! Also I'd strongly advise not putting locks on your tents as this makes it look like you've got valuable stuff in there and makes it more appealing to theives!

BUDGET: You won't be able to take alcohol into the arena with you (unless you know how to sneak it in..............;) ) so you will need to budget yourself for that & also food, you don't want to get to Saturday and realise you have no money to drink or eat!

You will get pushed when people are looking to go to the front, it's alright to give these people a cheeky nudge back, they're not going to kill you! Be nice to people and they will be nice back, you will make friends at festivals, everyone's there for the same reason, so there shouldn't be any issues with anyone unless you create them. You will most probably get hit with piss, let it go, no-one likes a diva. The one thing you have to do is develop a let-it-go attitude, having one of these will make your life so much easier, I'm not gonna lie, I did at first think I was a bit too much of a prim & proper diva to go festivalling, but you just need to let it all go, you will get muddy, you will smell, but no-one and I mean no-one will appreciate your moaning, don't do it, embrace the dirt!!

Most inportantly, have fun and enjoy yourself! Stay safe, in every sense and make sure you & your chums have a banging time, there's nothing better than a weekend with friends in the sun with some awesome music!

A Disneyland Adventure:

10 years ago I went to Disneyland Paris with my family and had the best time of my life and I've been extremely desperate to return as new rides have been added, but there was issues with the money as it is really really pricey, but when my trip to Kavos was thrown in the bin I decided I had to go to Disneyland and see what I was missing! So with that I text my friend, Abbie and she was in! After that we arranged a trip to the travel agents where they were going to charge us £600 each! Which thinking back now, was quite reasonable, for what it was, being in the Santa Fe Hotel - One of the Disney hotels, and going at peak time with school holidays and what not, but it was completely out of our price range (I am a student) so we scrapped that idea. Which is when I came across a deal on LastMinute.com for £200 cheaper, we booked up and off we went.

I woke up at 5am. Yes 5 in the morning, what a killer! To then pick Abbie up at half 6 where I got my mum to take us to the coach station (that I am extremely grateful for). Our coach came about 7 to take us to London where we got the Underground to St. Pancras station, a very glorious train station, very spectacular! After checking in and going through passport control we waited for our train which would take us directly to Disneyland, we were buzzing! Once we'd arrived in Disney we found our shuttlebus which would take us to our hotel. We stayed at The Explorers Hotel which was one of the 4 partner hotels with Disney, basically all the fun without the price, it had a pirate theme and was really nice, except for the fact it took us half an hour due to an assistants dodgy handwriting. After dumping our bags, we got the bus back where the fun really began.

So we had a little wander around, taking pictures of EVERYTHING in sight, before getting on the teacups, obviously a must do at Disney! We then went on the iconic Dumbo ride, which you see in all the adverts and it was glorious! BUT THEN WE WENT ON THE IT'S A SMALL WORLD RIDE. This ride was one of my favourites when I first went, probably because of the irritating music which still to this day drives my parents insane! We then made the decision to go on Space Mountain. DUN DUN DUN. I HATE rollercoasters. I don't know where this phobia came from, but I went to Thorpe park a few years back, went on one, reluctantly, decided I still didn't like rollercoasters and became deaf in one ear for a few weeks. Saying this, I then went back a few weeks later and forced myself to go on Saw. Petrifying. So you can imagine how I felt going on this rollercoaster, which contained corkscrews and loops - and I lived to tell the tale. (I think I freak myself out too much and convince myself that I'm not safe and I'm going to die, and work myself up far too much) I actually really enjoyed Space Mountain, considering it's one of the first rides that was in the park I reckon it's still got it, it's completely marvelous, and helped me overcome my rollercoaster phobia, slightly. We also met Mickey Mouse on the first day! Which was so exciting! I didn't really meet any characters when I went the first time with my family and to have a short wait to meet him was amazing! I didn't know this was possible, I was excited, really excited, it felt more like Disney when I was waiting in that queue, I definitely turned into a five year old.

These were the pictures I bought from Disney, which were the professional ones they took, they do let you take your own pictures which I think is really nice of them as they don't force you to buy them, which can save you a few bob, but I am looking at decorations for my new room at uni, and got 3 in a deal in photoframes which could sit nicely on a desk or shelf or something. We ate at The Rainforest Cafe on the first night which was in the village. Oh my god, what a place! We've got one in London (which I've never been to..) But you walk in and it looks like you're entering a rainforest and they have random thunderstorms, and it's just really fun, oh, and the foods good too, before heading back to secure a spot for the Disney Dreams fireworks show. Now, when we went 10 years ago they had a really tremendous fireworks show, which included a parade before. Disney have scrapped the parade, which I was a teeny bit disappointed in, but the Disney Dreams show was truly amazing, I even had little tears in my eyes, it was magnificent.

The next day we woke really early for our breakfast before getting the shuttle bus to the parks. We went to the Walt Disney Studios first where I went through another traumatic Rollercoaster ordeal & went on the new Ratatouille ride, which we got FastPass tickets for, as it was a 70 minute queue & I get bored easily, I wasn't expecting anything as I had no idea what to expect because it's new, and it was amazing, truly amazing! We also met Emile, Minnie & Buzz Lightyear, I regret not buying an autograph book, but there wasn't many characters wandering round so I didn't think I'd meet as many as I did!We also went on Peter Pan's Flight which was my favourite favourite favourite ride that I went on the first time we went and it's the most magical and beautiful thing in the entire world.

We also saw the parade, which I remember being longer? I'm not sure. But we got a spot near the front, which made me extremely happy! I'm not gonna lie, Disney made a massive error in the parade, which made me somewhat sad, was the fact they've CHANGED THE MUSIC OH MY GOD DISNEY NO. NO. NO. NO. - I LOVED the music that they used to have at the parade, so my heart did break a teeny bit when I heard it had changed. But hey-ho, onwards and upwards! I loved the parade, seeing all the characters, and the happy music, it's just really lovely.

I think we managed to get on every ride we wanted to, except for a few, but I had the best time of my life, and I was in such good company, I literally could not have asked for anyone better to go with. I have also decided I must buy a house in France so I can pretty much live on the doorstep of Disneyland when I can afford to. I have also decided I must leave it less than 10 years to return, because I've never been so happy in one place (my brother could be going in October and I'm hoping to tag along)

I also bought a load of stuff which I shall be putting in a haul at some point because there is simply not enough room in this blog to show you what I got from the World Of Disney.
