It's fair to say I'm a very sentimental person. I'm a massive hoarder. I refuse to throw anything away because it's worth the memories. I save certain smells and I thrive on the fact that certain songs can take you back to a place, a time or a person. I struggle to let go...

When I came back from uni after graduation I was a whole mixture of emotions and I didn't really know what to do about it. I was feeling very nostalgic and I was wondering sort of how I could bundle the best three years of my life into something spectacular.. and then I remembered that when I were a wee lass how scrapbooks were all the rage. 

I took myself to Paperchase and bought a notebook, one that would be used for art projects, some metallic pens, sparkly stickers and numbers.

I got the photos themselves developed at Boots - may or may not have broken the printing machine - I printed 188 in total and got them in squares because I thought if they were normal size then it wouldn't be so.. scrapbooky. Going through the pictures was a bit surreal you see some of the friendships which had fallen apart, some which have most definitely got stronger, it was also so weird to see how much we'd all grown up throughout the three years.But it was kind of surreal because there are moments that you kind of forget all the things that you've done because it all happens so quick..

Scrapbookin' is back in fashion!

I feel as though I have wanted to write a post like this forever, and now I finally can.

If you've been following my blog for the last couple of years you'd know I've been trying & failing and struggling to lose weight. Well. It's happening. 

A few posts ago I said I was joining slimming world, well. Before I joined I'd already lost about 10lbs. Slimming World was my option to lose the last stone and a half. So far I have lost half a stone. I've found the whole slimming world thing a breeze. To be honest, I didn't eat relatively badly anyway, it was all alcohol consumption (and the mcdonalds, endless cheesy chips and dominos pizza). Please nobody judge me for the photo which is about to follow. 

When I first drew the line and decided to really sort myself I read all of the healthy fitness blogs because obviously I was going to have a six pack by Christmas... and then I started walking, miles a day, I kind of enjoyed it - with help from Pokemon of course. All the blogs tell you to take before and after pictures so I did. I thought I'd take weekly photos to see how much weight falls off in a week.. Oh boy was I disappointed. There was no difference at all so I gave up that. Until now. Last weekend I thought I'd give it a go, I got my half stone award from Slimming World and I'd lost around 17lbs in total - maybe more and wow was I surprised. I am literally half the person I used to be. 

I think the worst part is I didn't even think I looked that bad at the time, I was still dressing for someone who was toned. I must have looked like a hot mess. Why didn't anyone ever tell me I was so big? I am so embarrassed. *monkey hands over eyes emoji* 

I obviously still have a long way to go, but I am finally beginning to love my body. I love my little muffin top. My next goal is to meet my goal weight and then start toning up, but that will come in time. 

I wish I'd started sooner, if you want to do something just do it. No-one says it will be east, but it will be worth it. 

Hi all. I know I know, I promised you more, but I have been so bloody busy and I have nothing really to blog about. But I swear I will try better.

I am writing this blog post so full of emotion and current depression, I've just come back from the best 3 days in Worcester where I graduated. Finally. I think it was the few days away that I really needed. I never thought I could love and need bunch of people so much.

It seems like a lifetime ago I moved into halls, which was probably the best experience of my entire life. I cannot stress enough of how much of a good time I had. We lived in one of the smaller blocks and became very close very quickly. Like a little family. It's also the place where I met 3 of the best humans I have ever met. I don't know how I even coped without them before. You never really know anyone until you live with them and I for sure got the best pick of the bunch.
I've met friends over the last three years who have had the biggest impact on me and really shaped me as a person. I'm already experiencing withdrawal symptoms from them.

The last three years have just been one big drunken, crazy, emotional, stressful, ball of fun, which by the end has probably turned out to be the best decision of my life.

People say "you don't know what you got til' it's gone" and this is the truest thing ever said. I will forever hold this place in my heart, the time I was at my most happiest.

This experience has made me life-long friends. A whole new family. It's taught me more about myself than you could ever imagine. I am so proud of myself for achieving what I thought was the impossible. I feel I've proven everybody at home, all the teachers at school, wrong.
Uni taught me that you don't have to be academic to actually become something. I feel I've overcome something I never thought in a million years I would.
