Here I am sitting at my laptop screen with my phone rested on my stomach checking it every three seconds to see if anyone's facebooked, tweeted or snapped me. So obviously I am also one of these people who are very caught up in the life of the shiny fruit on the back of my transmitter.

However we've reached the point where kids are getting standing for hours on end with their phones in the air trying to capture an entire concert. I am very guilty of this. However I only take one or two photos now and I'm very cautious of blocking the view of the people behind me and very paranoid. I try not to stick my camera up for too long. I've never understood why you would want to record a whole gig on your phone, you'll have your hideous voice in the background, it won't be very steady. you've paid £30 or more to watch it through a screen. It's not the end of the world if you can't show it all off to your friends! You're ok!

But it's not just concerts I find when I go out with my friends for dinner now or just casual drinks there is always a phone on the table and people texting and it's not really hard to put your phone down for an hour or so and engage in some real life conversation.

I am obviously a massive tweeter, and I encourage drunk texting as much as the next person. But it's ok to put the phone down occasionally.

I feel that we all need to stop living behind our screens and living. Life is short, you don't want to miss anything because we had to have nose up on facebook.

I am going to get all serious for a second here for the first time ever because this is a real serious thing you guys and I think we all need to be doing this you know...

As we all know, there is the EU Referendum coming up. If you don't know. What the hell sort of rock have you been living under for the last few months. I'm writing this under the assumption you have all registered as the cut off point to register has been and gone.

This is just why I am voting to stay in & the benefits of it. Not to try and influence anybodies vote.

What is the EU?

The European Union is a selection of countries whose governments work together, they pay to be a member and being part of it you have to follow the rules and in exchange you are given certain benefits. They money from the EU is used to do business in Europe. 

The EU has become bigger the rules have changed and some people believe that Britain would be better off leaving the EU as they don't believe we're benefiting given the money we pay and this way the country would have more control. Although in the past Britain has remained in control of itself and opted out of changes such as the Euro. 

Why I am voting to stay in:

*50% of our trade is with the EU. This makes us richer.

*1 in 10 British jobs are linked to the membership of the EU. We will be missing out on these, you or your friends could be losing jobs. 

*The EU negotiates trade outside of Europe. If we leave we will have to renegotiate these deals.

*Flights are cheaper. Meaning it's cheaper to see the sun once a year.

*Equal pay for men and women. Do I need to say anymore?

*There is more freedom to work and study abroad. 

 Basically none of these things are guaranteed if we leave. If we leave it's going to effect us majorly in the long run.

(Also, cheeky note to all women out there, do the votey thing, people fought really hard so we could vote it'd be a shame to waste that)

Six years ago I was probably sitting in a school hall probably taking an exam on something I had no idea about, I was dyslexic, yet the school refused to diagnose me because I "didn't seem to struggle". This was partly because I'd never speak up when I didn't understand anything. I never wanted to make a fus, partly this and partly because the teachers were completely useless and would ignore my raised hand anyway. So I painfully sat these exams with the echoing in my ear that without any decent grades I wouldn't get a job, I couldn't go to uni (which I had ruled out anyway because I knew I was a failure) to be quite honest the future was looking pretty bleak and everyone thought I was going to amount to nothing due to my lack of academic intelligence and lack of confidence. In the end I left school with 3, yes, 3 GCSEs. One in Drama, ICT and to be honest I can't even remember what the other one was.. It made me feel terrible seeing everyone else getting A's and B's and here I was with a B and 2 C's. Obviously I was left feeling dumb. But I managed to wangle my way onto a level 2 BTEC course at the sixth form to retake my GCSE English & Maths, I excelled in the BTEC yet again didn't pass my English and Maths. 

Luckily because I had to many GCSE Equivalents I snuck my way on to the Level 3 Performing Arts course at the college (I got a B in Drama GCSE because I was good at it and enjoyed it, right?) even though I was supposed to be on the Level 2. 

Anyway, during my time here I became a completely different person. The class I was in really bought out the best in me, I grew up with major social anxiety and went out of my way to avoid new people and new situations. At first I definitely felt like a fish out of water. But I kid you not, by the end of October, a month after we started I had so much more confidence and I started to become a bit more outspoken and I was able to voice my opinions. But the main thing was that I was the happiest in education I had ever been. The college tested me with dyslexia (finally) and I passed English with a B. But none of that really had anything to do with my change of character. I honestly feel like I owe my college class my life, regardless of how much they told me it was all me they were the ones who brought out the best in me and helped me find all the confidence and basically created me. Like I hope as collectively we all stay in touch forever because I owe them so much. Because of them I was able to be optimistic and apply to a uni and graduate with a 2.2. Which at first I was really disheartened about because I was literally a grade off of a 2.1 but I should be so proud that I even made it past the application. I didn't apply to uni because of the grades I received, if I had received A's & B's during my GCSE's I wouldn't have lasted at uni because of my lack of character. 

It's been a while, but multiple things have happened in this time. I've pretty much been living my life to the full. Some would say too much. But it's been great. *Insert obligatory dissertation photo here*

Basically. University is over. Poof. Gone. Cya.

It's been a crazy time. After spending many months moaning about how much I wanted it to be over and wanted to move home. I've been home and decided I'd much prefer to be back at uni. I feel even though I was so ready to have been finishing the working side of things, I am so not ready for the whole university life to end. There's a massive uncertainty in my life at the moment which I've never had before and I don't really like it. But that's life and we shall live it.

Over the course of my absents I went to see Catfish and the Bottlemen at Northampton. I saw them at Reading Festival last year and thought they were so good. I love a proper mental crowd so I was very much looking forward to it, however I didn't think it was all that. I'm not sure if it was just because of the different crowd or just because it was a smaller venue, but I didn't really feel that the band had much chemistry on stage, I was a bit concerned as to whether they actually like each other. It's a shame because I really thought they were amazing at Reading and I love their album.

And FINALLY. Of course I went to see Busted. Well, I wouldn't not would I? It was everything, Honestly, I was a bit cautious that there would be no chemistry between the band and it would all be done a bit halfheartedly. But my god. Every song they did (par a new one which was a tad boring) was so full of energy and excitement. I'm so so happy I went.
